The race is between 2 career politicians. Both sides are obviously well bankrolled.Banditnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23683658.post-29766967276798505212010-09-03T08:47:27.162-04:002010-09-03T08:47:27.162-04:00I would make a great PTA president,(small scale I ...I would make a great PTA president,(small scale I know, but you gotta start somewhere) however it is dealing with those "psycho super(medicated) moms" That keep me from running. Can you imagine if one of them ran across my blog? Its a shame because I am good at confrontation and getting things done and can be very passionate about issues, however it is the judgement that keeps me an onlooker.Raquel's Worldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00901679946676181304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23683658.post-59301959904390537542010-09-03T08:29:27.983-04:002010-09-03T08:29:27.983-04:00First, Bilbo, I consider it a high honor to be not...First, Bilbo, I consider it a high honor to be not only mentioned in your blog, but also to be extensively quoted! That being said, however, I must deign to point out a technical error. Campaign laws require the organization or individual sponsoring each ad to identify itself. Individuals (say a left-winger like George Soros, or right wingers like the Coors family) hide their sponsorship by creating a Political Action Committee or other legal body to obscure the actual source of the cash. You are right, the actual perpetrator is highly difficult to determine, but the ad must be identified as sponsored by a natural or legal person, and the cannot be a tax exempt organization.
Having worked in political campaigns (and nobody has to guess for which party) your description of the agony any potential candidate will suffer is dead on. And we wonder why we get so many flakes running for office? Who else would but a masochist or an egomaniac (or a masochistic egomaniac)?
Have a great weekend!
Eminence GriseAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23683658.post-38035939316893093562010-09-03T06:17:43.951-04:002010-09-03T06:17:43.951-04:00I know I wouldn't want to be a politician!
N...I know I wouldn't want to be a politician!

Nothing to do with the American politics in your post but Richard has a cousin who is an MP in Malaysia and I'm constantly in awe of her because of how tirelessly she works. She truly believes in what she does even if most people think its a waste of time. At least she's trying to make a difference...Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03542715899155247984noreply@blogger.com
