We appear to have dodged the expected meteorological bullet this morning - another ice storm had been predicted to bedevil our morning rush hour, but it now appears to be coming later today and tonight ... so far everything is still clear and dry and my bus is - allegedly - running on time with normal service. In the interest of taking advantage of unexpected good fortune and getting to work early to make sure all is in readiness for the offsite conference I've been setting up, I offer this very short post:
Sorry about that.
Check back for a "normal" post later this evening or at tomorrow's usual time.
Have a good day. More thoughts tomorrow.

I quake to anticipate what a 'normal' post will look like. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteThankfully we're a little too warm!! It is raining now.
ReplyDeleteThis happened to us last week. "Huge winter storm coming!" It was all the newscasters could talk about. But then ..... nothing a small amount of drizzle and thats it. So hang in there. It may not do anything.
ReplyDeletePlease tell me what is that a pic of?
Hopefully you didn't make a mistake by going into work and wind up spending the night.
ReplyDeleteWe've had 12 hours of sleet and are expecting 6 - 12 inches of snow.
I watch the weather on stations that push us into panic mode: "Storm of the millenium!", "Go buy all the milk and bread in the store - you'll be housebound for months!", "For the love of god, stay tuned to this station for each update every ten minutes; your life depends on it!".
ReplyDeleteIf all the idiot drivers who think the laws of physics don't apply to their SUVs stayed off the roads, we would be much much safer.
Here's wishing you a safe trip home and a snow (ice?) day tomorrow.....
