It's been about four days since the massacre in Aurora, Colorado, which means it's time to stop worrying about gun violence until the next massacre. Therefore, let us hold our heads high and move on to other topics ... like another sampling of Great Moments in Editing. I think we could all use a laugh.
This one's for my favorite Tennessee expat ...
Well, I'm glad we cleared up that mistake ...
Ah, yes ... I remember the good old days, when whipped cream (and cherries) had other uses ...
This one constitutes extreme lousy editing ...
I like spending time with my friends, but enough is enough ...
Somebody needs a refresher lesson in effective page layout ...
Somehow, I could see this happening in November ...
Maybe it's just me, but I thought this was the point of the whole thing ...
Is it math that's too easy, or is it English? ...
I'd love to write a snappy comment for this one, but somehow I just don't think I can top the original ...
And that's your chuckle for today. Now that we've gotten it out of the way, we can get back to the steady drumbeat of bad news and misery ... and it's only Tuesday!
Have a good day. Keep your head down. More thoughts tomorrow.

The Montanans could ask for a rain check on their meetings.
Why, thank you, Bilbo! That was sweet! People here are happy about the end of the drought.
ReplyDeleteA colonoscopy with a friend? What a unique way to bond!
I was going to comment on the colonscopy too!
ReplyDeleteWell, cherries and whipped cream on waffles is an aphrodisiac.
ReplyDeleteTalk about voter apathy when no one votes, even the candidates!
ReplyDeleteI just can't help but think there was something more behind the election disinterest besides people not voting.
ReplyDeleteWanna go get a colonoscopy friend?
ReplyDeleteI'm game, Peg ... but won't your husband and Agnes object?
ReplyDeleteI have to comment on the "arousal" can. That was me. I was new at this job as a graphic designer, the customer called with a last minute change and we were past deadline. I used spellcheck of all things, and I clicked on the first option it gave me. The day after it came out, I found a can of whipped cream on my desk, and it was being talked about on the radio. A month or so later, it was on Jay Leno. So I guess when I mess up, I like the whole country to know! Thanks for posting it!! :)
