New Standard Required

Now that the Chicago Cubs, after a 108-year drought, have won the World Series, we need to come up with a new standard expression for things that have no chance of happening. "When the Cubs win the Series" can't be used any more, and "When hell freezes over" is overused. Here are a few suggestions ...

"When the FBI stops finding e-mails."

"When the Republicans come up with a plan to replace Obamacare."

"When the Democrats come up with a realistic economic policy."

"When the Chinese stop building islands."

"When Donald Trump gives a coherent speech without insulting anyone."

Any other suggestions? Leave a comment.

The election is less than a week away ... be sure you vote if you are eligible. It's your duty as a citizen.

Have a good day. More thoughts tomorrow.
