Who did more to spoil their good name and reputation this week: Russia or the GOP?
The United Nations voted to remove Russia from its Human Rights Council following news of the brutality of Russian forces toward civilians in Ukraine; at least 52 people were killed and hundreds injured when Russia fired a missile into a railroad station in the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk, where thousands of civilians had gathered to flee the expected Russian assault on the city; Judge Kenanji Brown Jackson was confirmed as the first black female justice of the Supreme Court following a disgracefully theatrical confirmation hearing, and after all but three GOP senators voted against her confirmation and all but one walked out of the Senate chamber rather than applaud her confirmation after the vote; Will Smith has been banned from the Oscars gala and other Academy events for ten years after slapping comic Chris Rock at the Oscars; and in East Rutherford, NJ, a shooting at the American Dream Mall confirmed that the ability to shoot people at a shopping center is, in fact, the American Dream.
This week, since people who never cared about education before have lost their minds over what they think children are learning, I thought a collection of cartoons about schools and education would be appropriate.

Have a good day and a great weekend. Come back tomorrow for more thoughts as we join Lady Gaga to give sound advice to piously absurd Republican members of Congress.
See you then.
