It's a new month, with new opportunities to recognize outstanding ass-clownery ... not that we'd ever run out of potential dishonorees. This time, a previous winner receives her second award (you can read the first one here) as we present the citation for
The Right-Cheek Ass Clown for July, 2019
to
As the "Counselor to the President," Ms Conway holds no formally confirmed government position, and yet is one of the most visible and voluble spokespersons of the administration, aggressively defending its most outrageous actions and using her platform in the White House to engage in partisan political activities in violation of the Hatch Act (7 USC §7323, in case you want the official text). Although she holds a law degree from George Washington University Law School, Ms Conway appears to take a very dim view of actually upholding the law, responding to a recommendation that she be fired for violations of the Hatch Act by saying, "Blah, blah, blah ... Let me know when the jail sentence starts."
More recently, she accused questioners of a lack of patriotism and love of country for questioning the propriety of Der Furor's "Salute to America" politicization of the traditional Fourth of July festivities on the national mall ... going so far as to accuse reporters, rather than the administration, of politicizing the event.
I could go on, but it would just make me more angry ... and you should be angry, too.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Readers, Kellyanne Conway receives her second award, earning our designation as the Right-Cheek Ass Clown for July, 2019.
Have a good day, and come back tomorrow for Cartoon Saturday. More thoughts then.

ReplyDeleteBWAHAHAHAHA!
And I keep forgetting that she has a law degree. Talk about somebody that does not look the part of a lawyer. She is it!
A fine choice, well deserved! It amazes me how the administration believes (and won't accept) that the law applies to them. She should be formally charged and, if necessary, dragged into court for a trial. Then we can tell her "Blah, blah, blah... your jail sentence starts right away."
ReplyDeleteI didn't know she had a law degree. She certainly uses it perversely. I predict she'll be awarded another Ass Clown honor before she's through.
