Agnes and I spent the last few days out in Dayton, Ohio, visiting our more far-flung grandchildren. And their parents, too. Highlights included:
- Three performances by granddaughter Marcy with the Beavercreek High School Marching Band, including a competition at Troy High School at which they won first place in their division and were named grand champions.
- Attending the Beavercreek Popcorn Festival to celebrate the traditional hardening of the arteries*, at which the marching band also performed ...
- Being able to spend some time with two-thirds of our grandchildren ...
And visiting the National Museum of the United States Air Force with my son Jason ...
Life is, indeed, good.
Have a good day. More thoughts tomorrow.

* I did not indulge in any of the deep-fried things, but probably shortened my life by five years just walking past the various stands.

I've never had a desire to eat any of those deep fried confections. Now funnel cake, that's a different story.
Looks like a fun time for the family.
I'm glad it was a great trip!
