Cartoon Saturday

And George Orwell thought 1984 was bad ...

Queen Elizabeth II, the longest serving monarch in British history, died at age 96; Steve Bannon, the controversial former “chief strategist” for Der Furor, surrendered to authorities in New York, where he has been indicted on charges of money laundering, conspiracy, and fraud; Poland and the three Baltic states of Estonia, Lativa, and Lithuania have imposed visa restrictions on tourists arriving from Russia, fearing that they could form a dangerous underground force in case of future Russian aggression; Conservative politician Liz Truss became the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, replacing outgoing PM Boris "Get That Man a Haircut" Johnson; and according to a lawsuit filed in Monmouth County, New Jersey, a funeral home buried a woman in the wrong cemetery, wearing someone else’s clothes and jewelry.

Last week I offered up a collection of cartoons about dogs. This week, we put things back in balance by looking at the world of cats ...

Don't play poker with cats ...

It must be tough ...

Yes, cats will sue in a New York minute ...

Make that two bags, please ...

Well, of course he is ...

I'm not at all surprised ...

Catwoman has her own set of problems ...

If I were the cat, I wouldn't be impressed ...

A brief guide to selecting cat food ...

It was the right choice ...

And without trying to sound too catty, that's it for this week's edition of Cartoon Saturday ... it was high time I let the cat out of the bag.

Have a good day and a great weekend. More thoughts tomorrow, on Musical Sunday ... be here!

I wonder when Andrea finally dies if her casket will be full of cats.

A purrfect balance to last week's dogs. Knock 'em off the table is my favorite.
