It's been a long time since I've had a potential Ass Clown awardee who wasn't a political figure, but I guess that the old saying that all things come to he who waits is true.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Readers, with the usual flatulent blare of trumpets I announce the selection of
The Right-Cheek Ass Clown for October, 2023

and the award goes to
Michael Gardner
Mr Gardner, a native of Odessa, Texas, was officiating at a wedding in Omaha, Nebraska, when he fired a revolver loaded with blanks to "get the attention" of the wedding guests. He had apparently planned to fire the shot into the air, but his hand slipped when he cocked the pistol ... which obediently fired, hitting Mr Gardner's 12-year-old grandson in the shoulder.
The grandson was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and Mr Gardner turned himself in to the local authorities, who charged him with "child abuse by neglectable [sic] firing of a firearm."
Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Readers, for doing such a bang-up job of illustrating the dangers of allowing every Tom, Dick, and Harry* to own and carry a deadly weapon, Michael Gardner is named as the Right-Cheek Ass Clown for October, 2023 and this month's poster child for sensible gun control measures.

You've got to be a pretty serious ass clown to win the award given the candidates from the past two weeks.

Stupid is as stupid does! A surprise but worthy pick. The Founding Fathers had NO idea what arms the future would have that one would have the right to bear. They would be appalled. And, obviously, many other things as well!
I was thinking Matt Gaetz but it's actually better this way since he won't get attention, which he craves. You can't sheer the maga sheep if you don't get their attention!
