The New York City Marathon originally scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled in the wake of Hurricane Sandy; a leopard in Nepal is suspected of killing and eating at least 15 people; China has test-flown a new stealth fighter jet; Walt Disney has purchased the Star Wars franchise, leading to expectations of another series of films set long ago in a galaxy far, far away; and the official jobs report for October showed ... well ... it depends on which party is doing the spinning*.
