What does it take to be famous nowadays?
You can risk your life to protect your fellow passengers by taking down an armed terrorist on a train in France.
You can join Doctors Without Borders and save lives in some of the most dangerous parts of the world.
You can be a firefighter, rushing into a burning building to save trapped children.
Or you could be Lamar Odom, marry a Kardashian, overdose on drugs in a whorehouse, and have the breathless media issuing hourly bulletins on your condition.
Be famous, but be famous in a good way.
Have a good day. More thoughts tomorrow.

At least he could have overdosed in a library.
I am a dreamer. I want to live in a world where this isn't the headline news that a former NBA player in a viagra induced coma 24/7 and have to hear about his in-laws. What has happened to our news?
We only hear the ugly. Trump, Kardashians, bad cops etc.
Why don't we see and hear about others who are running for president, good cops, real news, topics that are serious, investigative reports. Celebrity, fame whores, and Trump is all we get - oh wait that is all 3 in one.
Every time they talk about him my first thought is, "Who?". Then I go, "Oh him again". What a waste of news time. And then they are so serious when they talk about his condition. WE DON'T CARE!!
I like the "Making a Difference" segment on the NBC Nightly News. I get tired of "celebrity news" after about 5 seconds of it.
He's a definite dumbass! Not worth the effort.
Would any one want his epitaph to read, "Died in a whorehouse"?
