Health Assessment

This afternoon, I have my first "health assessment" since I turned 65 and became a card-carrying, Medicare-covered old geezer. The good news is that I was able to get my old doctor back when I regained the health care coverage I lost when I retired back in April. The bad news is that the appointment probably won't be long enough to address the thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to*.

I don't know what the doctor will have to say after he's reviewed all the test results and probed my nether regions, but if he comes back into the room wearing a hazmat suit I'll take it as a bad sign.

Have a good day. If you need a second opinion, ask Mr Trump - he'll tell you that the day is going to be terrible, and only he can fix it.

More thoughts tomorrow.

We just had 2 more doctors that no longer take insurance of any kind including medicare. How do they think we are going to stay well? I now have a primary doctor who has been my saving grace drop all insurance. I may never be able to retire, I will need to work for money to visit a doctor or not and just die.

One of Claudia's doctors is dropping our insurance, AARP United Health Care, because they don't pay enough. And our insurance copay for specialists is going from $45 to $50 next year.

How can most people function without insurance? Health care is so expnsive!

Best wishes on the health exam results! Coming out negative is okay on these!

Our health care reimbursement system is absolutely insane. Too many people in between the professionals and the patients are part of the problem, each with their hand out.

Best of luck with your exam. If you get any bad news, remember it could be worse...
