As one of the noisiest would-be Legal Eagles pushing brazen conspiracy theories about a stolen election that led ultimately to the storming of the Capitol on January 6th, the deaths of five people, and the injuries to hundreds of others, Sidney Powell filed dozens of lawsuits "releasing the kraken" and alleging various types of election fraud she claimed were being conducted by the Democratic Party and its supporters. Among these were a flurry of lawsuits and allegations claiming that voting machines manufactured by Dominion Voting Systems were designed to surreptitiously change votes cast for Der Furor to votes for Joe Biden.
Federal judges - many of them Republican-appointed - in Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Michigan tossed out her cases for lack of standing or want of evidence. In Michigan, US District Judge Linda Parker dismissed Powell's suit in a blistering opinion, writing that "This lawsuit seems to be less about achieving the relief Plaintiffs seek — as much of that relief is beyond the power of this Court — and more about the impact of their allegations on People's faith in the democratic process and their trust in our government."
Now that Dominion Voting Systems has sued Ms Powell for defamation, she has resorted to a novel, but increasingly common GOP defense*: her attorneys argue that "reasonable people" wouldn't have believed her allegations of fraud ... in spite of the obvious fact that many "reasonable" people did, in fact, believe it ... and their belief led directly to deaths, injuries, and property destruction resulting from an insurrection against the United States Government ... not to mention a new law in Georgia that places tremendous restrictions on voting rights - including making it a crime to give food or water to someone waiting in line to vote. This would be laughable had the result of Ms Powell's ludicrous accusations not resulted in death, destruction, and the undermining of the legitimacy of federal elections. She deserves contempt, vilification, and the revocation of her law license in - where else - Texas, where she is a member of the bar.

Mike - you've gotta wonder.
While your reasons are valid, they really weren't necessary. Just announcing her name is more than adequate!
Someone needs to tell Ms Powell and her attorneys that "reasonable people", a group I assume she sees herself as a member of, don't go around making the sort of statements she has. One of the reasons they do that is so that people don't take the statements as fact and then do unreasonable things.
