Cartoon Saturday

Judging from the past week, if March were a fish, I'd have thrown it back already.

Russian forces invading Ukraine captured Europe's largest nuclear reactor, after a fire begun by Russian shelling was extinguished by Ukrainian firefighters; the President of the World Bank, David Malpass, described the war in Ukraine as an "economic catastrophe" that will cut global economic growth with particular pain on the poorest nations and individuals; South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham called on Russians to assassinate Vladimir Putin, suggesting it was the only way to end the invasion of Ukraine and related economic and political catastrophes; Florida governor Ron DeSantis berated a group of high school students wearing face masks at an indoor news conference, accusing them of “COVID theater;” and in Detroit, FBI agents arrested a TikTok star for committing a series of bank robberies, identifying him in part because of the distinctive shoes he wore in his TikTok videos ... which he described as "stick-up shoes."

This week, another collection of random cartoons ... no theme, just laughs (or groans, as you will) ...

In honor of the GOP's lack of policy clothing ...

This sounds right on target ...

You just can't make some people do the right thing ...

It can be hard to decide at this time of year ...

The way things used to be BT (before Twitter) ...

Some doctors just won't give up ...

There's a new season this year, and I predict the weather will be ... ugly ...

Oh, oh ...

It's a linguistically understandable mistake ...

A question being asked at income levels far above my own ...

Have a good day and a great weekend. See you tomorrow for Poetry Sunday ... more thoughts then.

The "Psalms" cartoon reminded me of a related joke: A monk comes racing up from the crypts of the monastery hollering, "It's all a terrible mistake. The word is *CELEBRATE*!!!"

Love these! Hard to be in a funny mood with morons surrounding the Cap Beltway.
