How the hell many weeks are there going to be in this verkakte month? ...

A Chinese airliner crashed into a remote mountain after a near-vertical dive, leaving no survivors; having encountered unexpectedly furious opposition to its invasion of independent Ukraine, Russia announced that the "first phase" of its "special military operation" was over and it would concentrate on conquering and occupying the eastern part of Ukraine that it's dominated since 2014, anyhow; at a NATO summit in Brussels, President Biden announced that the United States will take in up to 100,000 refugees from Ukraine; Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson faced two days of relentless political badgering from Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee as her nomination to the Supreme Court was considered; and former Secretary of State Madeline Albright, who passed away this week at the age of 84, once described Russian President Vladimir Putin as "small and pale" and "so cold as to be almost reptilian*."

This week, in honor of the birthday this past Tuesday of legendary mime Marcel Marceau**, we return (at least for now) to a Cartoon Saturday theme and shine the light on - what else? - mimes ...
