Cartoon Saturday

Well, it didn't take this year long to suck ...

On the first day of school after the holiday break, a student shot six people, one of them fatally, at an Iowa high school before killing himself; the Supreme Court has agreed to rule on whether or not Der Furor can be disqualified from running for president because of his exhortation of the mob violence of January 6th, 2021; the release of previously sealed court records has focused attention on the identities and activities of prominent politicians and celebrities with ties to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein; a new report by Democrats on the House Oversight committee documents more than $7.8 million in payments from at least 20 foreign governments — including China, Saudi Arabia and Qatar — to businesses owned by Der Furor during two years of his presidential term; and in Leeds, Alabama, a man was arrested after he crashed his vehicle in the parking lot of The Bass Pro Shop, exited the car, stripped off his clothes, and did a naked cannonball into the massive aquarium at the store; the unidentified man is being charged with (among other things) damage he did to the police car during his arrest and transportation to a local hospital for mental evaluation.

For our first Cartoon Saturday of 2024, let's look at religion ... since a large part of the world, particularly the American evangelical extreme right, is focused on forcing you to accept their version of it.

Sadly, many Americans will eventually find themselves in this position ...

When Der Furor runs out of appeals for the last time ...

How else is he going to finance that enormous church, his mansion, his fleet of cars, and his private plane?

For the true believer, this is how it works ...

It's the next step in preserving rapture integrity ...

I guess that goes for most of us ...

Uh, oh, indeed ...

Yes, that's pretty much how it works ...

The ultimate plague ...

Just sign here and keep putting money in the box ...

And that's it for January's first Cartoon Saturday, let me hear you shout "hallelulja!"

Have a good day and a great weekend. Go forth and sin no more (not applicable to Der Furor, who is a lost cause), and come back tomorrow for Musical Sunday - more thoughts then.
