Cartoon Saturday

Are you tired of politicians yet?

Ignoring overwhelming evidence, the GOP-led Senate voted to not allow witnesses in Der Furor's impeachment trial, clearing the way for an acquittal vote next week after allowing time for Senators to speechify in defense of their actions; the dangerous coronavirus continued to spread from its initial outbreak in China's Wuhan province; basketball star Kobe Bryant, his daughter, and several other people were killed last Sunday when the helicopter in which they were riding crashed on a California mountain; Der Furor released the Mideast Peace Plan developed by his son-in-law, Jared Kushner; and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called NPR reporter Mary Louise Kelly a liar in a formal statement on State Department letterhead after she described his insulting behavior after an interview;

What could be more appropriate than cartoons about politicians this week? ...

I've thought about stocking nerf blocks to hurl at the screen instead ...

Yes ...

Not in this era, and certainly not in the GOP ...

Lots of smoke and mirrors ...

This is what oversight means to the GOP now ...

That'll do it ...

Refreshing, isn't it? ...

I think that's an appropriate limit in a lot of cases ...

But this would be a good option, too ...

I always wondered where Der Furor got his Twitter ideas ...

And that's it for today, the first day of February and of the new era of unchecked Presidential freedom of action. Good luck with that. Remember the outrage come November.

Have a good day and a great weekend. More thoughts tomorrow, when Poetry Sunday returns.

Queuing up to replace him are even bigger crooks and con artists than he is.
