Last week I told you the story of our new, space-age bird feeder and of my frustration that the birds seemed to be ignoring it.
No longer!
The birds have discovered the feeder and are evidently enjoying the premium birdseed I've put out for them ...
Of course, others have found the feeder, too ...
It appears that I'm not mixing enough cayenne pepper into the seed mix to discourage him.
So, the birds and the beasts are here. Any suggestions on discouraging the beasts are welcome.
Have a good day. More thoughts coming.

I'm no help with the critters.
Sorry, no help here either. When I put out feeders for the little birds, they were raided by big pushy birds, squirrels, and deer. In the spring we were advised to take down feeders to help stop the spread of avian diseases, and I never went back to it. Gotta say, raccoons have a special place in my heart. I know they can be mean but at least they have an excuse in that they are defending themselves. Insert political comment here. Hah. Thanks for the videos!
Yikes! I was expecting a squirrel! No tips other than they make various sprays to deter deer, rabbits, and such. Maybe a raccoon type too?
I've a friend whose feeder gets taken down by bears so it could be worse. Bet you'll get some good stills and video.
Is the feeder on a pole? We put a four-inch wide piece of pvc over our mounted feeders and spray painted it black. Works like a charm.
