And December has arrived with a sigh and a shrug of the shoulders ... 

Controversial former Secretary of State and political figure Henry Kissinger died at age 100, as well as former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor - the first female justice and a far better person than Henry Kissinger - who died at age 93; fighting between Israel and Hamas resumed early Friday, shortly after the collapse of a cease-fire deal that had allowed the exchange of more than 100 hostages seized by Hamas militants for nearly 250 Palestinians held in Israeli jails; by a vote of 311 to 114, with 2 members voting "present" and eight not voting, New York Representative George Santos became the sixth sitting member of Congress to be expelled since 1861 ... and three of those were expelled for their actions in the Civil War and the other three for criminality; and in Traverse City, Michigan, a restaurant owner has been arrested on charges of allegedly setting up unlawful surveillance cameras that recorded people while they were naked ... it was not clear what naked people were doing in his restaurant. 

For the first Cartoon Saturday of December, it's a collection of cartoons from my waiting-to-be-sorted file. 

There have been a lot of days like this for the country in 2023 ...

I figured this out long ago ...

I wondered where they found some of those models ...

But only for a very brief minute ...

It's taken a while, but a lot of people in Congress and red states are working harder on it all the time ...

It's a worthwhile question for some people to ask ...
