Yep, this was some snow.
Agnes's Friday night flight to Germany was cancelled and rebooked to Saturday, then cancelled again and rebooked to this afternoon. So far, it's still scheduled to go...but the question is whether or not we'll be able to get up our hill, which has not been plowed since a single small truck came down yesterday morning, plowed a single track down the middle of the street, and made big piles of snow on either side. Big help.
Here are a few pictures from yesterday...
This was shot yesterday afternoon from our driveway, looking up the hill...
Looking from the kitchen out onto the deck...
Okay, I've had enough snow. Bring on the spring. And for now, time to break out the shovels and the salt and try to dig out again. Stay tuned to learn whether or not Agnes actually makes it to the airport later today...
Have a good day. Stay warm. More thoughts tomorrow.

between 17 and 21 inches here. Its too cold to stay on the puter much. I need to find an outlet for my netbook fast!
We're expecting another small snowfall on Tuesday. I'm doomed.
You really did get it! Now for the bad news, shoveling this stuff is easy compared to the flash flooding mess of the melt down. That, you can't shovel. Build your defenses high at the curb to keep the street runoff away! Guess this will put an end to the Buffalo weather jokes for a while. Hope Agnes gets out of town today!
That's some pretty serious snow. And you've got some more coming on Tuesday! ;-)
no snow...at the moment.
Awesome. Too bad you have to try to get to the airport. Otherwise you could just hunker down and wait for the melt.
You poor thing. We have snow falls like this in the Chicago area, but we have enough snow removal equipment to deal with it. I understand D.C. does not, because snow of this magnitude is highly unusual. Your main thoroughfares get plowed, but your side streets have to wait a long time. You end up snowbound.
And it ain't over for you guys. Tuesday brings more snow for you.
Holy Guacamole, Batman! Don't think I've EVER seen so much snow...and I think I'll be sore for a week, at least!
